Apple Macintosh Mac iBook G4 A1055 14" WORKS 1.42 GHz/55GB for sale in Richmond, VA
For sale is an Apple Macintosh iBook G4, model A1055. It comes equipped with an 55 GB hard drive (after formatting), 1 GB RAM, and 1.42 GHz G4 processor. It also comes with an OEM block charger. The screen is listed by Apple at 14". It's a great bridge Mac between modern Intels and PPCs and older 68k Macs. The hard drive is about 55 GB after formatting. It boots to Mac OS 10.4.11 and has Classic installed. Note that this model cannot boot into OS 9 but can run Classic applications in the Classic environment. The power port, DVD drive (read only; disc not included), both USB, FireWire, and AirPort are tested working. I have not tested the other ports/connections, including CDs, and their status is as-is/untested. The trackpad works. All keys are tested working. Overall, the condition appears decent given its age with some scuffs/scratches and wear and tear. The battery holds no charge, and the computer immediately turned off when I unplugged it to test the battery. There's a sticker on the top case. The bottom feet all appear intact. There is a sticker or some residue above and to the right of the screen. The cover latch is broken and doesn't close the computer fully. See photographs for condition.
