Mountain Hardwear Trim Developer

Responsibilities: oWork closely with Design and Merchandising to procure critical design information related to the trim development of all MHW Product Categories.   oSource and develop trims in multiple countries as required by manufacturing.  Work to insure consistent quality and design integrity for same item sourced with multiple suppliers.   oDistribute all relevant development information to concerned liaison offices and/or domestic vendors.    oMonitor new and multi-sourced trims to ensure they are developed within established timelines for salesman samples/production.   oMaintain PDM trim library - assign PDM numbers and update trim specifications.  Work closely with Design and Product Development to create seasonal trim palette in PDM.   oMaintain seasonal trim development list.  Includes communicating development status, changes and general concerns to Design, Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing.   oReview material samples prior to approval to ensure that they meet design requirements as well as Mountain Hardwear specifications and quality standards.   oFile drawer maintenance for approved quality sample storage, Organization and maintenance of trim library, Set up and maintenance of trim lab dip list.   oPost current season CADS and physical samples in trim/color display unit - resource library.   oCommunicate arrival of new vendor samples to Designers and Associates.   oSchedule vendor meetings.  Use Outlook to coordinate appropriate time for appointments. Communicate schedule to all Designers and Associates.   Requirements: oBachelor's degree in related field, with course work in textiles, manufacturing or related experience.    o3-5 years' experience in materials development/materials laboratory or related field required; experience with Asian materials development a plus.   oMust have working knowledge of apparel and hard goods industry.    oMust be familiar with textile construction methods and manufacturing, materials testing methods and appropriate interaction of lab results as they pertain to products.    oPossess working knowledge of materials and functional aspects of garments and hard goods (pack/Tent/Sleeping Bags).   oPossess strong organizational skills.  oAbility to work under pressure and to meet strict timelines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work extended hours if necessary.    oPossess strong written and verbal communication skills. oProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Illustrator, PLM. 100005WM

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
