Customer Development Manager II
Overview
The focus of the GPM Customer Development Manager II (CDM) is to manage short and long term programs to drive profitable volume growth within GPM territory. The GPM CDM is also responsible for cultivating the local relationships with GPM Ops VPs, GPM Marketing/Merchandising Mangers, GPM Region Managers, CCBCC Operations, as well as the Bottling Operations community.
Additionally, the GPM CDM is responsible for execution of all sales and marketing activities that occur within GPM's territory.
Responsibilities
Business Development Implement execution of programs to drive profitable volume growth for company and customers. These include both national, regional, and local sales plans.
Internal Communication Liaison for communicating program details, issues, opportunities, and best practices in GPM to the appropriate CCBCC and Bottler personnel.
Customer Relationships Meet with GPM VP Ops, GPM Marketing/Merchandising Managers, and Regional Mangers on a routine basis to discuss programs and opportunities.
Work closely with internal CCBCC and Bottling personal by spending time in the trade defining and determining opportunities.
Relationship building is imperative to foster open dialog with members of GPM management at all levels.
Requirements
Strong planning & analytical skills
Strong communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Independent self-starter
Sales and key account management experience, preferably small store
Current/prior trade experience is essential
Strong Operational Experience, preferably beverage industry
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Four year degree in relevant discipline preferred
Must be willing to travel 60-70% of the time
Candidate can be located in Richmond, Norfolk or Roanoke, VA.
