We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Staff Engineer - Mechanical to join our Product Engineering department in Richmond, VA.
The successful candidate will provide mechanical engineering design and technical support for a variety of projects that could involve any of our manufacturing or pilot plants.
Specific accountabilities include:
Developing subject matter expertise on equipment within a facility, with particular emphasis on mechanical components and equipment.
Planning and directing small to medium sized projects for equipment installations and upgrades to existing making, packing and support equipment.
Working with engineering teams to design, develop equipment modifications and new equipment in support of new product launches.
Maintaining documentation on process and equipment systems, and participating in training of new craftsmen and technicians on the systems.
Developing and implementing engineering design solutions to improve productivity and efficiency of operations at Operating Company manufacturing facilities or RD&E Pilot Plants.
