CNC MACHINIST

Erodex is an independent family-owned precision engineering company with over 40 years of experience in the precision graphite tooling sector. The role is to be a founding member of a new precision manufacturing subsidiary, producing graphite and carbon parts for the aerospace industry and other sectors. You will work with class-leading CNC milling equipment to the very tightest tolerances, and support our key Rolls Royce account, and potentially other customers in the US.
Specifically, the successful applicant will be a part of a new team of three engineers with responsibility for all machining; workflow and machining decisions within the cell. Successful applicant will be expected to perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment as well as the operation of manufacturing equipment. A working knowledge of General Dimension and Tolerance is required and will be used daily.
In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to carry out visual inspection of machined parts, and carry out on-machine inspection as a part of the manufacturing process. You will also be trained to operate CNC inspection equipment, and will follow inspection protocols that will be maintained by the Quality Lead.
Some level of CNC milling experience is essential, but equally important is an appreciation of the disciplines required for working to extremely tight tolerances, and an understanding that it is essential to follow protocols to ensure that no defective part ever leaves the facility. Training will be provided on site.
