Mortgage Operations Supervisor

Live Well Financial, Inc. is looking for an experienced Mortgage Operations Supervisor for our Richmond, VA location; with a minimum of 3 years' experience processing and closing FHA mortgages, preferably FHA Reverse Mortgages.
Summary: Under the general supervision of the SVP of Mortgage Operations, the successful candidate shall oversees the daily activities of processing and closing for the retail mortgage division ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all duties assigned to the position. Employee shall be experienced with performing the duties of an experienced processor and closer and will be responsible for providing supervisory oversight, training and support to all division employees.
Duties
o Monitors loans in process to determine any deviation from standard processing time and to take appropriate actions including notifying the VP of Operations with alternatives to ensure files are process and funded in a timely manner.
o Manages workload distribution and monitors progress of loan volume and projects to ensure monthly goals are met.
o Assists with administering performance reviews and coordinates the training and development of each team member, ensuring performance goals are established and monitored regularly.
o Oversees closer activity and provides feedback on file flow and issues on closed loans
o Provides input in areas of staffing and disciplinary actions
o Oversees quality assurance of employees work and reports findings
o Prepares and/or sends training flashes in regards to changes, updates, systems enhancements, etc., in regards to processing and closing.
o Acts as a liaison with settlement vendors to ensure timely completion and accuracy of documentation and helps resolve any issues between processors and vendors.
o Interprets policies and guideline for mortgage staff and other employees requiring guidance.
o Follows up with mortgage processing team when documentation is not accurate due to processor errors and/or actions.
o Counsels and provides training and guidance to less experienced staff. Assists and cross trains in other positions as required
o Serves as support to operations employees in answering inquiries and providing information on mortgage loan programs and underwriting guidelines.
o Participates in the development of policy changes, program implementation and procedural improvements
o Ensures proper training is given to assigned staff on new software programs and products.
o Ensures that all procedural updates and/or changes are properly distributed to staff
o Works a processor pipeline consisting of complicated loans and coordinates rushes as needed to achieve monthly goals.
o Maintains contact with borrowers throughout the processing period, assisting them with any questions and notifying them of any additional information required
o Maintains a thorough working knowledge of mortgage loan products and procedures. Makes appropriate decisions regarding the resolution of complex problems.
o Prepares statistical reports relating to branch operations
o Work on projects assigned by the SVP of Operations
o Recommends and implements new ideas and ensures thorough research and involvement from all appropriate areas of the Company
Qualifications:
o Combination of education and/or related experience in real estate lending that provides the necessary
skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions
o Three - Five years related work and management experience in lending field required
o Knowledge of mortgage origination, processing, closing required
o Knowledge of mortgage operations, policies and procedures required
o Strong oral and written communication skills required
o Proficiency using a computer and loan origination software programs
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
o Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
o Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours and ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
o Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks.
o Must be able to work on multiple assignments, under moderate stress levels.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
