A successful candidate will have the requisite education, experience, skills and a strong desire to continue to grow and manage an Environmental Insurance Division that meets or exceeds the corporate goals of growth and profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental engineering or sciences or seven to ten years related environmental insurance experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of Excess & Surplus lines underwriting experience. Clear understanding and vision of the ES marketplace and distribution channels. Three to five years of supervisory experience highly desirable. Excellent people skills including the ability to mentor key staff members. Effective leadership skills with a sound influence in dealing with challenging situations. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent working rapport with wholesale brokerage community. Working relationships with third party environmental data and engineering firms. Demonstrated familiarity with Environmental regulations at the federal, state and local level. Ability to travel at least 25% of the time. Advanced working knowledge of computer programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
