_Business Info Developer or Business Info Developer Sr - Job family_
The preferred locations for this position would be Richmond, VA, Denver, CO or Woodland Hills, CA; however, the manager is willing to consider other WellPoint office locations (but not 100% remote).
Responsible for assisting with the development and execution of data mining analyses to enhance reporting functionality and identify data relationships and patterns. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Programs and writes queries and reports.
Establishes knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues.
May be involved with new development of standardized reporting using the data warehouse, in addition to ad hoc reports.
This position may be filled at either of the levels listed above. Manager will determine level based upon selected applicants skillset relative to the qualifications of the position.
Job Qualifications
Requires a BS/BA degree; 2
years experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. PC, spreadsheet, and database skills preferred.
WellPoint standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages preferred.
Experience with Business Objects preferred.
SQL and Teradata programming skills strongly recommended.
Strong communication and consultative skills strongly recommended.
Strong data analysis experience preferred.
