POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Service Specialist reports to the Director of Shared Procurement Service. This position is a hands-on team lead role, responsible for taking and resolving customer's calls as well as the daily operations of the Call Center.
This position assumes mastery of and continued participation in the Customer Service role as defined in the Customer Service job description.
The position provides leadership to Customer Service Representatives. This individual will set objectives, organize work processes, and monitor call center activity during low volume activity.
This individual insures that established service levels to the Local Systems are consistently achieved. This position has the goal of providing high quality, efficient and cost effective service to the organization with an emphasis on customer service.
The Customer Service Specialist works strategically with Local Systems, system office departments, and Supply Chain Management work units to identify, analyze, decide and implement leading practices for the Call Center.
The individual will insure the application of legal, ethical and sound business practices through the establishment and adherence to policy and procedure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Healthcare strongly preferred but substantial relevant
experience will be considered
2. Certification, desirable (e.g. CPM Certified Purchasing Manager; CMRP Certified Materials Resource
Professional)
3. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
4. Experience with Lawson Procurement or other ERP System.
5. Exposure to a healthcare organization with experience in supply chain processes desired.
6. Demonstrated experience in advancing a genuine customer-centered attitude and the capacity to incorporate
that philosophy in user-friendly services working collaboratively with stakeholders in an interdisciplinary service
environment.
7. Experience in making and implementing decisions in a complex environment.
8. Demonstrated strategic focus with the ability to tactically execute.
