Initiates and provides leadership, strategic/tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client/business area issues and in the development of an IT environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives. Participates with IT management in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area. Serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal IT management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Provides the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the IT service delivery process. Associates in this job code do not manage people.
The Incident Manager will manage the logistics of communications for all significant network outage scenarios
Responsibilities:
Provide call leadership, monitor Supplier triage effort, and ensure all required areas of support are engaged. Provide ongoing status of incident activity, both verbally and via email. Escalate issues as appropriate to the internal support teams or supplier chain.
Required Skills:
-3-5 years experience working within a technology support organization within a business environment.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-Good oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to lead triage calls and provide detail on a continuous basis.
-Ability to work under pressure.
Desired Skills:
-Previous Network Operations experience
-Advanced knowledge of Voice/Voip (PBX, call manager, voicemail), Data (routers, switches, wan circuits) or Security Service (proxy, firewall, load balancing) environments
-Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
