This position is responsible for successful delivery of large or complex projects requiring development and enhancement of batch data movement and data warehouse applications. It involves the use of existing technologies or incorporating new ones to translate software requirements into working programs along with maintenance of these programs in support of business operations.
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for detailed technical design, coding and unit testing of applications capable of handling large volumes of data in a batch environment
o Employ data warehousing standards and best practices for software delivery
o Ensure compliance of overall design with the enterprise development standards
o Support system testing and integration testing activities
o Support production rollout and validation activities
o Perform troubleshooting, correct issues and provide technical support to production applications
o Direct the work of junior software engineers in the team through various phases of application development
o Ability to manage and balance work across multiple priorities in a fast paced, energetic, and dynamic workplace
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
o Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent or military experience
o At least 5 years of cumulative experience in software development and support on Unix and Mainframe platforms
o At least 2 years of experience in designing & developing ETL Batch Applications using Ab Initio and Unix Scripting
o At least 2 years of experience in designing & developing Data Warehouse Applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL, Native SQL on MVS/Mainframe
o At least 1 year experience working on IBM Z/OS and knowledge of ISPF commands
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Experience with Teradata and/or IBM DB2 database
o Experience with the Agile delivery methodology
o Familiarity with advanced level Ab Initio components/concepts like MFS, EME, CO>Op, PDL and meta programming
o Understanding of query performance tuning concepts via DB2 admin tool
o Experience on IBM Data Studio, Changeman and Control-M tools
