Manage firm-specific programs contracted from designated key suppliers. Identify and communicate any new programs, products, etc. to maintain currency. Serve as escalation point for local office contacts as necessary.
Work with designated managers and subject matter experts to identify goods and services needed to support firm functions. Provide research and viable options/alternatives when appropriate.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors that can provide information, services and products at competitive pricing and preferably on a national and/or international contract basis. Manage these vendors in a manner to ensure deliverables are being met in accordance with firms expectations and internal policies.
Participate in preparation, distribution and award process of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) confirming to established guidelines. Serve as main point of contact for both internal customers and bidders.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of client relationships with the firm as it pertains to the potential use of a client as a vendor.
As requested by internal customers, coordinate the purchase or lease of goods and services through competitive bidding and contract negotiation using established guidelines and procedures.
Place purchase orders for products and services as needed and track their progress. Communicate expected delivery dates to appropriate departments and confirm delivery of such.
Act a liaison between departments and office management as needed.
Prepare annual budget for designated GL Accounts for review by the appropriate director or manager. Provide information to other departments to assist in their annual budget preparation process as necessary.
Research budget variances for designated GL Accounts and provide information to assist the appropriate manager or director in reporting monthly budget variances and assist in the budget reconciliation and forecasting process.
Work with Accounting and business stakeholders to determine lease vs. purchase options as requested and according to established guidelines.
Ensure leasing schedules and vendor contracts are maintained and tracked for terms and conditions, begin/end dates, specific rights/obligations and other important tickler dates.
Ensure appropriate parties receive all necessary information regarding the return of products obtained under a leasing contract as the end of the lease nears in a timely manner.
Prepare reports as requested including weekly status updates as a dashboard for all projects.
Develop/document and accurately maintain guidelines to use with new programs or contracts and distribute to appropriate personnel when requested.
Track and maintain cost savings information for incorporation into periodic reports.
Maintain a high level of knowledge of industry trends, technical concepts, principles and practices.
Continually coordinate support of firms vendor management with specific Business Support Analyst staff to ensure programs are properly managed and maintained.
EDUCATION/WORK
Experience:
Requires Bachelor''s degree and three to five years related experience and/or training in IT procurement or vendor management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong negotiation, project management and organizational skills required.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to professionally represent the firm when interacting with internal and external clients which includes, but is not limited to, verbal and written communication, demeanor, response time and follow-up skills and appropriate business attire.
Ability to think clearly, react positively, apply good logic and exercise sound judgment in day-to-day activities.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, detailed instructions and RFPs/RFQs as required.
Ability to effectively communicate the goals and objectives of the firm to vendor partners during the purchasing/procurement aspect.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, professionalism and an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze and conclude, generate and convey ideas quickly, multi-task, prioritize, respond to shifting priorities effectively, meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in all firm-provided software and department specific software as required.
Some overtime and travel may be required.
Ability to create a strong working relationship with internal and external customers and to gain understanding of their needs, projects and time requirements.
Knowledge of general accounting and budget principles required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
