corporation, is seeking an Interaction Designer for a long-term onsite assignment in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent visualization, collaboration, and communication skills and understands design and development start to finish. This team creates compelling interactive experiences and they are passionate about designing products the right way - ultimately making digital banking something to be excited about.
Responsibilities:
o Rapidly prototype designs.
o Communicate ideas for numerous designs.
o Produce clean, technically accurate files (wireframes, mockups, prototypes.)
o Work in an iterative Agile development environment.
o Complete work correctly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
o Effectively communicate design principles and specifications.
o Share knowledge across product teams and lines of business.
o Manage numerous projects at one time.
Requirements:
o Understand complex systems, processes, and relationships.
o Creatively solve problems and constantly learn new things.
o Be extremely digital-oriented.
o Be decisive - value feedback but don't require it to make decisions.
o Be empathetic - customer needs are foremost in their mind.
o Be fast-paced and crank out quality with speed.
o Be able to generate a broad range of concepts and ideas.
o Know good design when they see it and know the lingo.
o Have excellent writing and communication skills.
o Be comfortable with whiteboards and markers.
o Be successful multi-taskers.
o Master of Adobe software: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
o Proficient with Office software: Word, Powerpoint, Excel
o Advanced understanding of XHTML/HTML5 and CSS.
o Basic understanding of Javascript and/or jQuery.
o Able to complete tasks independently and as part of a team.
o Effective communication/presentation chops.
o Able to manage deadlines for concurrent projects and multi-task.
o Perform effectively in a demanding work environment.
o Thorough understanding and support of web design and development from
concept ideation to slicing and dicing mocks into deliverable markup.
