The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive and Process Shipments:
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or invoices.
Inspect and record damaged or missing items.
Sort, organize, and store incoming stock.
Order Picking and Packing:
Accurately pick and pack orders according to packing slips.
Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products.
Prepare and complete orders for shipment.
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Update and maintain accurate inventory records.
Warehouse Organization:
Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
Ensure that aisles are clear and products are stored in designated locations.
Assist in maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Equipment Operation:
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues promptly.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills for inventory management.
Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to follow them.
