The Facilities Manager (Correctional Facilities) plays a key role in the growth of our business and overall customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Vice President of Correction Facilities Services, this individual will assess the need for ongoing capital investments and facility improvements and ensure these are implemented when needed.
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that client sites are secure, maintained and running smoothly.
The successful candidate will also contribute to a dynamic team environment by being proactive and modeling a highly collaborative working environment.
The Facility Manager position will be offered upon contract award.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages all aspects of a distinct program to include policy development, quality resources and specialty functions unique to the program to optimize cost effectivenessAssess ongoing facility improvements and preventative maintenance requirementsDevelop and manage the facility capital and expense budgets necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation of the mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systemsEnsure that all facilities work is properly planned and executedCoordinate system repairs and monitor system performanceEnsure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
Manage staff, as well as direct the activities of contractors and clients, ensuring coordination and execution of needed workEnsure full coordination of all stakeholders and clear communication between them and our clients.
May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and change business practices.
Qualifications:
A bachelors' degree in mechanical engineering, construction/facilities management or a related discipline is required , along with a minimum of ten (10) years hands-on experience in facilities management operations.
Prior experience with corrections departments.
Experience in managing and overseeing construction management projects related to building operation, maintenance and repair, and alterations.
Knowledge of PC software and CMMS programsLEED accreditation and CPM, RPA or FMA certifications is desirable.
Knowledge and experience with state and local safety, fire, construction, and public access regulations experienceUnderstanding of blueprints and building codesExperience in developing cost estimates and budgets.
Knowledge of all life safety, mechanical, and electrical equipment and systems required as well as code associated with including HVAC, Chiller, and Boilers.
PC and automated building management system proficiency a must.
Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Valid Virginia State Driver's License required.
