Summary:
This position will be responsible for ensuring that quality products have been well tested prior to release.
Specific duties include executing and verifying test scripts, documenting and analyzing the results and creating effective quality plans and test approaches.
PRIMARY DUTIES Create various testing documentation based on technical and user requirements Create effective test plans and approaches, translate user requirements into test scripts, perform setup and verification of test data, execute test scripts, and verify results Track and report on test results and issues Review system/business requirements and technical specifications for adherence to standards Acquire comprehensive knowledge of business activities and operating processes Develop/execute test scripts to support business and testing requirements Perform test data analysis including finding, modifying, and creating test data Perform various types of tests including functional, negative, bounds, system, integration, and regression testing Review test results for compliance to specifications and report discrepancies to management Log and report defects into defect tracking system Track and interpret test metrics Work with developers to resolve issues Support integration testing activities in end-to-end test environments that include a variety of platforms All other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor ADDITIONAL DUTIES MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS 2 Years Information Systems experience in quality assurance, design, development or implementing IS solutions OR 3 years working with Virginia Farm Bureau insurance systems MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of information systems and requirements Good analytical and problem solving skills Ability to gather and analyze research Strong Customer Focus Excellent oral and written communication skills Good Time Management skills Ability to work independently and self-start on assignment Ability to manage multiple projects / tasks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of insurance systems and business processes Some experience in quality analysis and testing Prior experience with Jira Prior experience with UFT One and Selenium At VA Farm Bureau, we provide an exceptional benefits package, including ongoing job development and support in all roles, paid training and continuing education reimbursement, medical and dental insurance available on your first day, generous employee 401K contribution, excellent Paid Time off (PTO) plan and more!
