edu/current-employees/benefits/ Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities The Office/Operations Manager will manage operational activities within the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement at Massey Cancer Center by providing administrative support to the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement.
The ideal candidate is a skilled written and oral communicator who can work well with others to build and sustain effective, professional relationships.
The ability to accurately compile department data and manage various projects is highly desirable.
This person should also be able to work independently to identify complex problems and produce options that serve as appropriate solutions.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Managing the calendar of the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement Scheduling small and large-scale meetings, IT support, and conference room scheduling Coordinating travel logistics and providing fiscal administrative support that includes, but is not limited to, professional membership management, conference registration and accommodations, and reimbursements Composing communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, PowerPoint presentation, and other correspondence on behalf of the Exec.
Director and the Office of COE Providing clerical support to the Office of COE which includes routing telephone calls, handling requests, managing mail services, and purchasing office supplies Manager projects and coordinate events (in-person and virtual) Communicatively review and reconcile budget in partnership with Finance team Serve as a liaison between the Office of COE and MCC Procurement which includes monitoring all account funds and budgets and serving as the primary P-card proxy for the Director Minimum Hiring Standards Massey Cancer Center supports a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suites; specifically Excel and PowerPoint Experience managing Google and Outlook calendars of Leaders Must be self-motived, willing to learn new skills, and possess excellent analytical/decision making skills Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills Must be able to compile, review, and reconcile data with great attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with a diverse customer base Experience with financial management, budget development and coordination Preferred Hiring Standards Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience Experience managing projects and coordinating events Experience in office administration Knowledge of university and state budget policies and procedures Existing interest in community engagement.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
