General Public - G Job Duties The Science Museum of Virginia is looking for something truly unique:
a cup of coffee with some half and half.
We know that sounds quirky, but that's who we are so hear us out! Folks drink coffee to wake them up, to put pep in their step, to start the day with vigor and energy so they can tackle whatever comes their way.
And in order for that coffee to taste just right, many folks add half and half.
That's what we're looking for:
a new member of the team who can help us ramp up our digital and website communications efforts by being half expert storyteller and half data wonk.
Oh, and make sure there's a travel mug involved because just like coffee on the go, this person will be working in a fast-paced environment! We need someone passionate, creative and curious who is highly collaborative.
They will work with teams across the Science Museum to energize initiatives by using words, visuals and most importantly, data.
This person should be equal parts mass communicator and number cruncher.
They will be a voracious investigator, spending time digging into any and all data available, and use what they find to ensure the Science Museum is saying the right thing to the right person at the right time on the right channel.
The digital information coordinator will be a well-rounded, tech-savvy cheerleader that can juggle multiple projects at once and can pivot as needed for each campaign.
A positive outlook, solutions-oriented attitude and data-driven decisions mindset are a must.
If it sounds like you can serve up the perfect mix of skills and abilities to give us the jolt we need, then pour your time into the application today! This position is open until filled, but we will start application review on August 14.
