One is seeking Document Clerks for our law firm client in Richmond, Virginia for upcoming contract assignments reviewing litigation related documentation.
These projects are 40 hour per week assignments with a standard 8:
30am-5:
00pm (Monday to Friday) work schedule.
Projects may require in-office work and potential remote opportunities as well.
The hourly pay rate is TBD (depending on assignment).
Note that no prior law firm experience is required for consideration.
The firm requires a completed Bachelor's degree for employment consideration.
A paralegal certification is highly desired.
The main job responsibilities will include facilitating document requests for current and pending litigation matters, working with legal team members and outside counsel on the document requests, scanning, copying, filing (both hard and electronic files), and assisting attorneys with other various litigation support and administrative duties.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
