Summary:
We are seeking an Estimator to join our construction team in our Richmond Virginia office.
Main responsibilities for the position include calculating (cast in place concrete) construction cost estimates, planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of projects.
Professional estimators can negotiate with a wide range of clients to make accurate cost estimates and manpower budgets.
They also work closely with our construction project team to ensure a successful project from beginning to completion.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintain a constant workflow of projects geared for MBA's success in the central Virginia area.
Cultivate existing and new relationships with clients and general contractors.
Perform project estimates with estimating software and build budgets for CIP concrete scopes.
Responsible for turning over to pre-construction department, completed estimates with scope of work, field budgets and cost analysis.
Working with pre-construction coordinator for material quotes from vendors.
This is a in person position no working from home.
Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
Collaborating with MBA teams and conducting site visits when needed to have a better working knowledge of MBA's capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Proven working experience as a construction estimator.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel preferred.
