Regional Financial Analyst Position Job
Summary:
The Regional Accounting Financial Analyst supports the Regional Finance Business Partner, Regional Vice President East Region, and District teams by ensuring that the appropriate financial control systems and accounting procedures are effectively implemented in the region.
The role reports to the Regional Finance Business Partner and adheres with corporate guidance and procedures and the broader Corporate Finance team to ensure all systems within the region comply with the appropriate financial governance, accounting standards and organizational policies and procedures.
This role is responsible for providing business advice to the Regional Finance Business Partner by ongoing monitoring of income and expenditure against approved budgets, including monthly variance analysis and reporting.

Duties:
Manage accounting activities such as (but not limited to) general ledger postings, journals, variance & expense reconciliations within expected timeframes and as per finance policies/accounting standards.
Support Managers in regard to operational budgets and financial performance.
o Support program reporting, funding, and budget analysis both internally and to external stakeholders o Provide line management support to local bookkeeping and financial support roles as required.
Proactively work with the Regional Finance Business Partner and Regional Vice President to identify skill gaps and assist to support and develop skills within the regional team as required.
Maintain updated knowledge of and work within SCA's policies and procedures.
o Assist in preparation of annual regional budgets, and weekly/month regional forecasts.
o Involvement and or secondment in finance projects as required o May also include oversight and or management of non-finance related activities e.

, property and fleet strategic partnering activities o Actively participate in analyzing, preparing, and reporting on budgets and program expenditure in consultation with Managers, Regions, and Corporate Office teams.
o Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes in collaboration with the broader Corporate Finance team enabling adherence to internal control requirements.
o Establish and maintain effective positive relationships within SCA and externally.
o Contribute proactively to operational and strategic projects, planning and initiatives.
o Supporting local leadership groups on business planning for various projects and bids.
o Support regional collections efforts and engage as necessary on payables exceptions.
o And other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting.
Economics, or similar.
Customer Service Skills - Be a resource and a team player to support our field sites as a go-to for financial advice.
Ability to translate technical data into easy to understand and concise reports.
1-3 years of relevant work experience.
Advanced Microsoft skills required especially excel.
Industrial work environment/ B2B service organizations or professional service organizations, preferred.
CPA/MBA, preferred.
