Job Description Engineering - Design Engineer-USRichmond, VA6 Months Contract
Job Description:
As Designer, you prepare drawing packages that adhere to project specification, budget and schedule.
You work together with Engineering, Manufacturing, our vendors and our clients to check, maintain, clarify or resolve compliance with various project or national requirements/codes.
You are empowered to think creatively and critically about system designs, laying out equipment in ways that maximize safety, accessibility, constructability and maintenance, while limiting cost and complexity.
You provided an important backstop in checking technical details, ensuring that every system is accurately depicted and can be built as designed.
You maintain a feedback loop with Manufacturing, auditing and improving designs and generating as-built drawings/ addition to this project work, Designers are part of a larger Design team that develops and maintains standards for the company and plays a critical role in document/revision management.
Designers also maintain our 3D CAD software libraries, building and updating them as needed to speed design work, eliminate repetitive tasks and ensure accuracy across projects.
Minimum requirements:
A cents EUR cents Associate or bachelor's degreeA cents EUR cents 5 years' CAD drafting/design or equivalent experience, with use of SOLIDWORKS- Experience with SOLIDWORKS Routing and Weldments add-insA cents EUR cents Working knowledge of drafting standards and practicesUseful skills or abilities:
A cents EUR cents Proficiency in PDM/EPDM/Vault softwareA cents EUR cents Proficiency in other CAD platforms (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, SmartPlant)A cents EUR cents Familiarity with process and mechanical design technical documents (P, equipment drawings, piping isometrics etc.
)A cents EUR cents Conceptual ability to work in 2D and 3D simultaneouslyA cents EUR cents Familiarity with ASME piping and vessel standardsA cents EUR cents A passion for detail, accuracy and workmanshipA cents EUR cents Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects/priorities in a fast-paced and changing environmentA cents EUR cents Team mentality with strong interpersonal and communication skillsA cents EUR cents Self-motivated and ability to work with limited oversight.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
