For the 2024 - 2025 school year we anticipate over 450 students in pre-school through high school.

Job
Responsibilities:
Full-Time position teaching Upper School Science/Mathematics to 7th - 12th grade students:
Integrates God's Word and its principles in curriculum and instruction.
Faithfully attends Faculty/Staff Devotions each morning prior to the start of school.
Develops weekly curriculum and lesson plans that reflect the GCS curriculum guides.
Serve as an instructional designer for students.
Participates in content area and upper school collaborative planning and goal setting.
Maintains current attendance records and records grades promptly, consistent with school expectations.
Develops a positive learning environment for all students and maintains an attractive and orderly classroom.
Implements effective teaching strategies to promote student learning.
Utilizes age appropriate technology applications that enhance student learning.
Effectively communicates with parents on a regular basis to facilitate the development of the teacher - parent partnership, a core element of the GCS mission.
Serves in co-curricular activities as assigned as an active participant in the Grove community.
Dresses professionally and modestly.
Seeks opportunities for ongoing professional development and works in concert with school administration in campus-wide and individual professional development activities.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold the following
Qualifications:
Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures, and expresses agreement with the doctrinal viewpoints and Christian lifestyle requirements of the school.
Must faithfully attend a local church whose beliefs are consistent with the school's Statement of Faith.
Must be able to serve as a positive Christian role model to others in the GCS school community.
Hold at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Hold state teaching credentials or ACSI teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain an ACSI certificate.
Successful experience teaching Middle or High school students.
Ability to maintain an effective classroom environment.
Must possess sufficient biblical knowledge that enables the teacher to integrate Scripture into subjects taught.
Must enjoy working with young people.
Proficiency in computer and technology applications, especially the Google platform, necessary for the teaching profession.
Must be able to perform the duties required related to a classroom teacher that include, but are not limited to; standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs, actively supervising students in the building as well as at the playground, riding school buses or vans.
