Job Details: - High school diploma or equivalent is required
Responsible for the clerical support of Administrator and Chair.Serves as the privileging and credentialing contact to ensure that those ongoing activities are performed in accordance with VCUHS policies and procedures. May be required to assist and coordinate faculty recruitment activities and department events to include employment processing from recruitment through hiring with credentialing and privileging activities. Also responsible for oversight of general office operations, some financial reconciliation and employee timekeeping
Level and type of experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of three (3) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting
Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring
Customer service skills
Good to high level of writing skills
Level and type of experience PREFERRED:
Four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting
Previous experience in an academic health care setting
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED:
Associates Degree in Business, Accounting or related field from an accredited program
Formal secretarial/administrative assistant training

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
