Description :
We are seeking an experienced Hadoop DevOps Engineer (HDE) with outstanding technical, verbal and written communications and organizational skills who is responsible for collaborating with engineering and operations organizations on issues relating to the installation, configuration, and operational support of the Hadoop stack and related technologies (e.g. HBase, Hive, Zookeeper) in multiple development, test, and production environments. The HDE is responsible for handling trouble tickets and service requests concerning Hadoop, and should have the expertise to see those tasks through to closure individually. However, it may require the HDE to coordinate with other members of the operations organization as well as software development and infrastructure engineering organizations. The HDE may also collaborate on system architecture and engineering efforts concerning Hadoop with the software development organization.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Be the primary point of contact for Hadoop ecosystem architecture, systems-level, and network-level knowledge
Troubleshoot and correct deficiencies in Hadoop ecosystem components
Make recommendations about Hadoop development and architecture
Be the primary point of contact for trouble tickets/service requests related to the Hadoop ecosystem
Provide monitoring of operational Hadoop ecosystems in multiple environments
Create and modify BASH scripts related to the deployment of Hadoop into an environment
Create and modify Hadoop configuration files
Coordinate extensively with software developers to provide assistance with development issues related to the Hadoop ecosystem
Create and modify scripts to validate that the Hadoop ecosystem is successfully installed and operating within established parameters
Collaborate with infrastructure support teams on Hadoop issues that cross engineering domains (e.g. operating systems, storage, networking)
Required Qualifications:
Current TS/SCI with Polygraph
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
3 years of experience in Hadoop administration, including ecosystem components
Hadoop System Administration certification (e.g. Cloudera CCAH, HortonWorks Certified Administrator, or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years of operations support experience
Strong experience with Red Hat Linux, BASH scripting, and Java (or other object-oriented programming language)
Experience with networking, storage devices, Postgres, and securing LANs desirable
Experience administering other clustered big data repositories a plus
Experience supporting Agile software development desirable
Experience creating Hadoop applications desirable
Familiarity with continuous integration, Jenkins preferable
Familiarity with Red Hat Package Manager; familiarity with Chef and Puppet a plus
In-depth understanding of IT governance structures, methodologies, and processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
