The Information Security team has an immediate opening for an Information Security Threat Analyst. As a member of the information security team, the Information Security Threat Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and escalating threat events and vulnerability notifications for the Fifth District. Duties include providing technical assessment of risk and threat events as well as coordinating necessary incident response actions, providing operational support of compliance notifications and tracking, and participating in penetration testing assessments. This position is located in Richmond, VA and reports to the Director of Information Security Operations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Monitors, analyzes and escalates on the security status of the Fifth District utilizing tools such as anti-virus, vulnerability assessment tools, and compliance monitoring tools.
Participates in vulnerability assessments of Bank owned systems and environments. Documents vulnerabilities and coordinates with the business areas for remediation.
Evaluates vulnerabilities as they are released and work to ensure the environment is protected against new risks.
Provides incident response assistance and participates internal incident response training.
Participates in the risk management process. Researches product specific vulnerabilities and serves as an information security technical advisor.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or higher with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Prefer five or more years of IT and business/industry work experience encompassing project management, information security, risk management and programming.
Industry recognized certifications within the domain of information security, information technology and project management (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, IAM, CISM, ITIL, etc.) considered a plus and recognized as an indication of work experience
