We are seeking a full-time Recruiter II at our Home Office in Richmond VA. This position will be part of a team responsible for hiring store management trainees across the US as well as exempt and non-exempt hiring for our Home Office. Under general direction of the Recruiting Manager, this position will manage and execute full-cycle recruiting for all assigned positions, store locations and/or home office. This will include the development and execution of effective recruiting strategies; the development of strong partnerships among hiring managers, candidates and teammates; and the delivery of exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers. This position will be located at the CarMax Home Office in Richmond, VA.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute the full-cycle recruiting process including, but not limited to:
Conduct initial hiring manager in-take meetings (phone or face-to-face) in order to gain a solid understanding of job profiles and recruitment needs
Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies. This will include proactively sourcing and identifying passive & non-passive candidates through recruiting strategies such as web searches, job boards, diversity groups, social networking, cold calling, database mining, professional organizations, job fairs, college and alumni communities, direct recruiting, assessment days, and agencies - with a strong focus on networking, relationship building and the use of the most up-to-date recruiting technologies.
Develop and conduct phone interviews on prospective candidates - Consistency and following the process is extremely important.
Effectively use pre-hire assessments and interview guides to conduct thorough behavioral based interviews.
Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies that will support CarMax's initiative with regard to workforce diversity. Present to hiring managers a diverse slate of candidates whose qualifications align with the job qualifications discussed initially during manager in-take meetings.
Proactively drive the coordination of the on-site interview process through partnership and support of a recruiting assistant, and at times, coordinate on-site interviews without support from a recruiting assistant
Prepare and extend employment offers to candidates including any salary negotiations
Build effective partnerships with hiring managers in order to influence hiring decisions, and serve as their primary point-of-contact through the CarMax recruiting process. This includes clear and timely communication over the phone, through email and/or face-to-face meetings
Advise CarMax hiring managers regarding the interview/hiring process to ensure fair and consistent candidate selection methods
Build effective relationships with candidates, and serve as their primary point-of-contact through the CarMax recruiting process
Create job requisitions and accurately manage candidates through the recruiting workflow in CarMax's applicant tracking system
Create/develop job postings and advertisements used for , major job boards (i.e. CareerBuilder) and other online resources (i.e., diversity sites, social networking sites, niche' sites, alumni sites, etc.)
Attend and participate in company-wide activities associated with personal development and/or organizational knowledge
Attend and participate in job fairs, outplacement events, college recruiting and/or other externally sponsored recruiting
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2
years of full life cycle recruiting experience required, previous experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt openings in a fast-paced environment strongly preferred (retail recruiting experience a plus!)
Demonstrated proficiency with behavioral based interviewing at the exempt level required
Proven track record of successfully building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers is required
Creativity and proven ability to successfully use networking & sourcing sites to find candidates (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency with MS Office products (Word and Excel), internet search engines, and email systems (i.e., Lotus Notes, MS Outlook, etc.)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
