Looking for someone with a mission heart this non-profit missionary agency's Global Technology Services department has a permanent, full-time, Systems Engineer II position open in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities
To operate, monitor, and perform analysis, design, and building of Cisco network WAN, security, and Data Center services in support of infrastructure and global applications.
Requirements
Education: BA or BS degree with Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree preferred, or a combination of significant experience and certifications related to Networking and/or Data Center required.
Must have strong engineer knowledge in the following:
Security (specifically Cisco Identity Services Engine & Cisco Prime)
MPLS (specifically BGP, EIGRP)
Routing & Switching (predominately Cisco based)
Knowledge of Security, MPLS, and Routing & Switching are the most important skills for this position.
Must have additional skills as follows:
Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work under pressure. Must exhibit people and problem solving skills.
Good project leadership (technical or PM) skills and ability to lead project teams within the department.
Self-starter; able to manage own assignments efficiently for on-time delivery; team player.
Knowledge of data security and disaster recovery systems and procedures.
Advanced Knowledge of a moderate range of network systems, protocols, and applications, to include Project Management tools.
Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of systems growth analysis and capacity planning processes and techniques.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
